🌿 About Pest Free Auckland
Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland is home to some of Aotearoa’s most unique and precious wildlife from tūī and kererū to rare lizards and giant kauri forests. However, many of these taonga are under threat from introduced pests such as rats, stoats and possums.
By working together to create a pest free region, we’re giving our native plants and animals a chance to thrive once again. It’s about more than just removing pests it’s about restoring healthy forests, protecting waterways and creating safe havens for future generations to enjoy. Every trap set, every pest plant removed and every local planting day brings us closer to a vibrant, resilient Auckland full of life and birdsong. Join us on this journey and be part of a city that values and protects its natural heritage.
